Outfit of the Day
That time of the year has arrived: Kooky February! For some people, it's exciting! They are spending some time to find the perfect gift, perfect date spot, perfect activity to create a memorable Valentine's Day. For some other people, it's clingy and cringe. It depends on perspective rather than being single or taken. However, there's one topic that makes everyone ask the same question: Outfit of the Day!
February 14th is just an another simple day, we can agree on that but the unconscious idea of being just *a little* more on fashion and an urge to stop that idea co-exist together. Instead of surpressing that urge, let's find out how you can style your outfit without giving the impression of trying too hard.
We usually have two identity when it comes to fashion. One is our everyday looks and the other is special event looks. Have you ever tried this one? Combining them into one single aesthetic. Yeah, I know how it sounds but listen, choose a piece youwear to your special occasions and adapt it into your daily style. I fyou don't want to overdo, you can choose a bag, shoe or jewellery piece.
Of course, the theme is being on theme so another way to elevate your V-day style is a pop of red. A red belt, earring, or a sunglass would not scream V-day but it reminds you to spirit of it. Aditionally, you can try styling different textures. A red simple cardigan with a pearl necklace on a base outfit, or a leather read belt with a chiffon blouse would give "I'm enjoying the day, but not too much."

Yes, I hear some of you saying "It's so cute for you to think that I would go simple, Vivi." What can I say? I hear you! If you want to show off, go to a club and pick a man to spend some hot minutes, I support your bold choice and your bold outfit. If you ignore the freezing weather, Zara Larsson's new era is a great inspo for the V-day. Make-up looks went viral for being too fairy and outfits are pieces from heaven's itself. I don't know about men, but I would definitely ask for your number in that type of ethereal look.
Well, I cannot ignore the rest of us, the ones who does not care anything about the V-day and plans to do nothing. To be honest, on this day having a self-date or trying a new hobby would be on point. It says "I'm the love of my life." Whether for a self date or a workshop for a new hobby, jeans and a colourful top would be complementary. If you're someone like me, I would love to finish my outfit with a touch of a perfect jacket/coat. I think outwear is more essential than the actual outfit. Open your closet, find the fanciest outwear and voila! You have the perfect outfit for a self-date.
Well, it's not done, yet! Just wear your favorite, most comfortable, pyjamas and choose your favorite rom-com. In my opinion, it's the perfect night whether it's a special day or not. I think When Harry Meets Sally will be my valentine.
